Marble gravel container

TO REGULATE THE CARBONATE HARDNESS, ACID CAPACITY AND PH VALUE

Avoid corrosion in your pool.

Low carbonate hardness in the water has a negative impact on your pool, built-in parts and ventilation systems.

The targeted use of marble gravel can help to stabilize the carbonate hardness and minimize the problems described.

If the carbonate hardness is too low, this can lead to instability of the pH value, which makes the water acidic. A low pH value can damage the passivation layer on stainless steel, which normally protects against corrosion. In such an acidic environment, increased corrosion can occur, particularly pitting or stress corrosion cracking, which can affect the life of stainless steel.

The tank is installed and flowed through by the swimming pool technician as a dissolving tank in the bypass. That’s all that’s needed to improve your water quality and add effective corrosion protection.

Special challenges in indoor swimming pools

A low carbonate hardness in the water has a negative impact on ventilation systems in indoor swimming pools. Here, the humidity and chemical composition of the air are often very high, which can affect the material resistance of ventilation systems and components. If the carbonate hardness is low and the pH value buffer of the air is therefore missing, the air could become even more acidic, which further increases the risk of corrosion for ventilation systems.

Longevity of the systems

Protection against corrosion on stainless steel components, tiles and joints. Also extends the service life of pumps and filters.

Adaptability

Effective in regions with soft water or after softening. Ideal for public swimming pools where stable values are required.

Simple integration

Suitable for almost any pool system and already in use in public and private swimming pools. Long-term function without constant monitoring and maintenance.

Reduced chemical consumption

Less use of pH-Plus required, often even unnecessary.
